Mr James (Jim) Hazel is a very experienced company director with Board experience on ASX listed companies, unlisted companies, government authorities and not-for-profit organisations. His current roles include being a Director of an ASX top 100 company (Bendigo and Adelaide Bank) and Chairman of an ASX top 300 company (Ingenia Communities). Jim has regularly served as a Board or major sub-committee chair, including Audit and Risk and Investment committees. He served for some years as Chair of Rural Bank and has through this and other involvements a good understanding of regional and rural interests.

Jim Hazel’s executive career included time as Managing Director in an ASX listed environment and he has had extensive banking and finance senior executive roles. He has also had executive experience in the retirement living space, and direct professional experience with venture capital funding. He has extensive commercial contacts in a number of States and in the region. Jim was for a several years a Board member of COTA SA and Chair of Insurance and Membership Services (IMS) until 2014. However, he has no current or planned connection with COTA SA or IMS, and is fully independent of COTA SA.

Jim fits the Board’s expressed priority for a Director with substantial commercial experience with the added fact that he is familiar with the broad ageing market and the retirement housing sector.
