Anne Edwards AO is President of COTA SA. She has been a Director of COTA Australia since March 2012 and is the Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.

Anne has an academic background and extensive experience in higher education. She has contributed to research and social policy in areas of inequality and social justice.  She is a former Vice Chancellor of Flinders University and Emeritus Professor of Sociology. She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Social Sciences, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Anne was the inaugural Chair of Australia’s National Research Organisation for Women’s Safety, the Deputy Chair of the Australian Centre for Social Innovation and Co-Chair of the SA Premiers Council for Women. She has also been a Board Member of the Art Gallery of South Australia and of the Australian Book Review.
