Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent survey.
We have now presented a supplementary submission to the Senate Community Affairs Legislation Committee, based on the survey results.
New evidence from this recent survey of 1,332 COTA Australia supporters aged 65 and over shows that higher premiums would force many older people into difficult choices. Read the supplementary submission HERE.
To understand what these age based private health insurance rebate changes could mean in reality, we asked people to complete a short 5 -minute survey with a few follow-up questions about the impact on your household budget and your private health cover.
More than 3,000 people signed COTA Australia’s petition on the proposed changes to the age based Private Health Rebate, an outstanding response that shows how much this issue matters to older Australians. You also told us just how worried you are, and that you’re considering downgrading or even cancelling your private health cover. If you would like to sign the petition CLICK HERE.
Survey closed on Sunday 4 October at 6pm. To stay involved or become a COTA Australia supporter – you can sign up for free HERE.
