Consumers and aged care peak bodies have revised the visitors code on 26 June 2023. The Code was developed to give clear guidance where directions from local state or territory public health authorities were not available.
COTA Australia worked closely with the Digital Health Agency to recruit and train 16 Digital mentors. This two-year pilot project has recently concluded and we can now share some of the initial findings with you.

This project ran between 2013 and 2017, funded by the then Department of Health and Ageing. Home Care Today helped consumers and providers of Home Care Packages understand and implement Consumer Directed Care. 
This 2012 survey was designed to collect detailed data on attitudes, experiences and behaviour. Two phases of consumer research were undertaken to explore the attitudes and experiences of older Australians to travel insurance.
The first 3 SOTON research reports were conducted in 2018, 2021 and 2023. The next SOTON report will be released in 2025. The SOTON report is an indepth and broad snapshot of Australians over 50 regarding health, lifestyle, socio economics and opinions.
This ground-breaking initiative was funded by the Australian Government from 2017 to 2019. The resources developed aim to help build a greater understanding and practical knowledge about self-management in home care.
The Aged Care Navigators Trial ended on 31 December 2022. As part of the Aged Care Navigation Trail, COTA Australia created a number of resources to inform and assist Care Finders in their work.
Information, strategies and tools to support the inclusion of older people with disability in mainstream, community-based activities. This project was produced by COTA Australia and COTA SA, and funded by the Australian Government Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. 
The response to our February Menopause and Perimenopause Focus Groups was overwhelming! COTA Australia will offer a series of Women’s Health Seminars. Our first is currently anticipated for May 2024.
